Afia Kojo Ojal is the Founder and Managing Partner at Kojo Law Advocates. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. Afia is also a registered Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths. Prior to establishing the firm, Afia worked at two leading law firms, where she held roles as the Head of Litigation for the Coastal region and the Head of Debt Recovery, Restructuring, and Insolvency. She also co-founded and led the development of a private forensics and risk management firm, where she gained extensive experience in business strategy, compliance auditing, and risk management. With over 10 years of legal experience, Afia has advised clients and handled cases in areas such as Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Debt Recovery and Insolvency, Corporate Restructuring, Intellectual Property, Real Estate and Construction Law, Company Law, Employment Law, and Probate and Succession Law. Beyond her legal career, Afia is passionate about humanitarian work. She has written project proposals for non-profits focused on preventing violence against women, and currently mentors young girls to foster transformative leadership.
